Ahh, the myth of multitasking. You may say, āNo, seriously, I can multitask phenomenally well.ā That may be true for surface level things, or when youāve properly prioritized multiple steps (like me recording this video while my pancakes were in the microwave). But things that require focus (or both hands like fixing breakfast š) can not be done truly simultaneously with something else that requires focus. We cannot do two cognitive tasks at one time. So, for those of us with ADHD, who have multiple thoughts going on at once, navigating through this can be complicated and very stressful, especially when we donāt know whatās going on and why.
