Love to you all. May these next few weeks be full of shedding every ounce of that which no longer serves while sheltered in the promise of Spring. Very soon the earth will waken, perfumed blossoms will stretch toward the sun, and baby birds will sing for their supper. For now, embrace the pregnant darkness. Winter only appears dormant on the surface and dark holds her own lovely blessings.

"There are dark and terrifying places within us that need to be illuminated. In order to shed light on them, we must have the courage to enter these places and open the windows. To do so, we must first face the guard of that dark room: pride. Generally, pride appears disguised as fear, but pride hides behind this fear in the form of shame and vanity. These are the defence mechanisms we use to protect the false image of ourselves. They prevent us from accessing this place that is so difficult to look at inside of us. When we illuminate those dark corners, we find that both the image and the fear itself were illusory. We only discover that the terror is an illusion once we pass through it."

For me, Reiki is a gift to be shared. This is why all of my sessions and classes are pay as you wish. Also, in the interest in serving to create a more just and loving world I donate at least 10 percent of every payment. Funds from December purchased ingredients for burritos that my family made with love and distributed to hungry souls along the river. Money from January bought shoes for a homeless child. Reiki inspires in me healing, love, generosity, and connection. What does Reiki do for you?

They say Chinese bamboo is the strongest and most flexible of all plants. The fascinating part about their evolution is when you plant their seed... Nothing can be seen sprout above the surface for up to 5 years sometimes. And then one day, out of the blue, and miraculously, it can shoot up to 200 feet tall!!! So the question is:: does it take 5 years to grow 200 feet tall or does it grow over night? What do you think? I see we are all like the bamboo plant. We work on ourselves and it can sometimes feel like we are not making much progress... And then one day-- we look around and see how much we have grown! I see greatness in you.
