This month, our resident spotlight shines on Jerry, whose life adventures have taken him from Detroit, Michigan, to California, Oregon, and finally to his home here in Sparks, Nevada.

Jerry and his wonderful wife, Jo (pictured), have shared 63 years of marriage and the joy of raising two children together.

When he's relaxing, you’ll often find Jerry cheering on his favorite football team—the Oregon Ducks! 🏈💚💛

What an honor to give back to our incredible community partners and volunteers during our Volunteer Luncheon!

A heartfelt thank-you to Joseph Galatta with CompassionCare Hospice for sharing inspiring words about the importance of volunteers and the difference they make in creating stronger, more connected communities.

We were also joined by our wonderful therapy dog friend Yuki the Alaskan Husky and his owner Christine from Alliance of Therapy Dogs —Yuki even enjoyed some special bacon treats just for him! 🐾

The afternoon was filled with music, laughter, and heartfelt appreciation for all who make Arbors such a special place.

We’re so grateful for the amazing volunteers and local organizations who give their time and talents, including Sigma Kappa at the University of Nevada, Reno, Reno Elks Lodge, Girl Scouts of the Sierra Nevada , Sierra Arts Foundation. 💐
