Our Story - Amplify Life
Amplify Life serves children, youth, young adults and adults with disabilities. We provide life skills, job skills, and pre-employment education and training as well as social and recreational programs, including summer camp day and over night camps.
The first summer camp for children with disabilities was held in the summer of 1973, and it later became CampLotsaFun, which later became Special Recreation Services, a non profit 501 (c)(3) organization run out of Reno, Nevada. We rebranded to Amplify Life, as we grew to provide a wider range of services and programs, and we are still growing, adding new services as we work to meet demand. Our dream is that every person with a disability is living a full, meaningful life, connected to friends, family and work that they love. We hope you join us in making this vision a reality!
Our goal is to improve the quality of life for people with disabilities and their families, and to get out and explore our community! We serve people with a wide range of disabilities, and our programs operate on a 1:4 client to staff ratio.
