Though exercising in the cold may offer benefits such as improved endurance, more efficient exercise, turning white fat into calorie-burning brown fat, it may not be for everyone with certain conditions or if you’re not geared up appropriately. So, for this month (since it will be 10 degrees Fahrenheit this Saturday), I thought we’d do our walking inside our homes!
What time should you do it? Anytime you can squeeze in your movement! Here are some exercise tidbits…according to experts, people lose more weight when they workout in the evening; afternoon may be the best time for people who are trying to build performance (weightlifting and other strength training); morning seems best for many due to work schedule etc. But really what it comes down to…Get your exercise at a time that works for you, keep active throughout the day and don’t forget to stretch (to prevent injury so you can exercise some more 😉)For this Saturday Dec 24th, you may choose any “Walk at Home” videos on YouTube. Remember…Walking is great because it is one of the single most important things we can do for our health-it’s food for our whole body! Let me know if you did some or a lot of moving!!!
