Knoll Communities will open up our wait list on October 15, 2025. The one bedroom wait list will open at 10am and the studio wait list will open at 1pm. We will be accepting 90 applications for the one bedroom and 70 applications for the studios. Applications will be available in person at 8 Knoll Road in Sparta, NJ or online at www.knollcommunities.org. Applications will not be available prior to designated date and time.

Note: Completing an application DOES NOT GUARANTEE a spot on the wait list. Applications will be reviewed and approved.

Knoll Communities is opening its wait list for One Bedroom and Two Bedroom apartments on Feb 1, 2024. Applicants must be at least sixty-two years old or disabled and meet low income requirements. Applications will not be available until February 1 at 10:00am. Applicants are welcome to apply in person at this time. Applications will also be available on our website.

Knoll Communities is looking for several Maintenance Technicians to work full-time, part-time, and seasonal hours on our beautiful 15-acre campus located in Sparta, NJ.

We are looking to build our team with various positions. We are considering full time, part time, and seasonal employees. Seasonal employees would work December through March with the possibility of extending if desired.

Responsible for general maintenance of buildings and renovations. Install, maintain and repair equipment such as heat pumps, motors, compressors, hot water circulating pumps, fans, unit heaters, condensing coils, motor starts, circuit breakers, and control valves, boilers, cooling towers, thermostats and close-loop controllers. Responsible for preventative maintenance on all equipment. Maintaining of Logs for preventative maintenance and boilers. All positions will be responsible for snow removal and landscaping.

All positions will also be required to hold the emergency phones during nights and weekends on a rotating schedule. Ideal candidates should live within 20 minutes of the property.

For 30 years, skydiving remained an uncrossed-off item on Sparta senior Laura Duerr’s bucket list. Laura made the leap of a lifetime from 14,500 feet.
