Because connections are everywhere.
Part of the connection to ourselves is simply listening to our thoughts, our intuition.
This making things easier to see coming rather than it being just being called a coincidence or haphazard.

Yoga is more than movement. The asana practice ( movement) is often needed to shift the energy to where it is most useful in life at any given time. Also why, savasana ( co**se pose, rest) is so beneficial at the end of movement. It gifts us time to digest thoughts (activate the parasympathetic nervous system ) and refocus our energy. Just one of many examples of the benefits of yoga or ways to follow on a yogic path.
One of my favorite quotes from “ Light on Yoga” B.K.S. Iyengar

“ Yoga is the method by which the restless mind is calmed and the energy directed into constructive channels “
“ As a mighty river which when properly harnessed by dams and canals, creates a vast reservoir of water, prevents famine and provides abundant power for industry; so also the mind, when controlled, provides a reservoir of peace and generates abundant energy for human uplift.”
In other words soak in that savasana.

The hips hold the key to so much!
Hip mobility is essential in balance. It’s where the upper and lower body connect acting as a stability center. Keeping the hips mobile and it’s movements fluid helps with the longevity of our bodies movement. This helps us age gracefully without pain with movement. The hips are also an area that many of us hold tension.

So Keeping up with stretching and just getting to know your body is a gift to ourselves. This work starts early, so let’s keep moving the hips.

Here is a short sequence of movements to help your hips feeling good.

Lizard
Wide half splits
Side lunge
Wide fold
Pyramid
Malasana
Four square twist
Seated Butterfly

It doesn’t take much to feel like we’re in “flight or fight” mode with the world in constant motion around us all the time.
I’m personally always looking for ways to reel myself back in. And although a nice hike or time in nature is great, it’s not always as accessible. Yoga has really helped me with that, and you know how much I love breath-work.
So I wanted to share some quick fixes to bring you back to a balanced mind and body.
Here’s the breakdown -
