Sometimes my “break” between clients… is Pilates.
The other day a client saw me sneaking in a little session and we both laughed — what do people who don’t do Pilates do to feel this good? I know I’m a little biased. But I also know how my body feels when I haven’t moved my spine yet. A little stiff. A little compressed. Like everything just feels… tight and stuck.
So those in-between 20–30 minutes? They’re less about squeezing in a workout and more about sustaining my body. I always say moving your spine is lotion. A few rounds of flexion, extension, some rotation — it hydrates the discs, wakes up the joints, and tells my nervous system it’s okay to settle. When my spine moves, everything else feels more organized. Less cranky. More clear.
Pilates is absolutely strength work. It challenges me every single time. But it’s also the place I return to when something feels off. It gives me stretch and support in the same breath. It’s how I reset before the next client walks in or before I shift into mom mode for after-school pick up. It brings me back to center.
It never really gets easy. It keeps me curious. It keeps me honest. And it always makes me feel better walking out than when I walked in.
If you’ve been wondering where to start…
maybe it’s with your spine.
Come in and try full circle, We’d love to move with you. 🤍
