Please read the letter below regarding servicing Medicaid patients at our office.
For Immediate Release:
Dear Valued Patients and Referring Providers,
We are writing to inform you of an important change regarding our insurance participation. Effective March 9, 2026, our office is no longer in-network with Medicaid. This includes straight Michigan Medicaid, Priority Health Medicaid (Eyemed Medicaid), McLaren Medicaid, Meridian Medicaid and dual eligible Medicaid with Medicare.
This decision was not made lightly, and we understand it may cause inconvenience. Due to changes in administrative requirements and reimbursement structures, we are no longer able to sustain our participation in the Medicaid program while maintaining the high standard of care we are committed to providing. Our intention was to continue servicing patients with the above stated insurances through April 2026. Unfortunately, against our wishes, we were cut off from their network on March 9, 2026. This has caused the inability to verify eligibility or bill the insurance.
You may still choose to continue receiving care at our office; however, as an out-of-network provider, you will be responsible for all charges on examination services and glasses or other materials . We are happy to work with you to discuss treatment costs and flexible payment options should you wish to continue care with us.
We are also available to assist you in transferring your Vision records to another provider if you prefer to remain with an in-network Medicaid office and resources for seeking participating providers to your plan.
