Provide direct resident care which includes showering assistance, dressing assistance, ambulation assistance, transfer assistance, as well as the ability to light prep and serve meals. Duties will also include maintaining daily household operations to promote a safe, clean, home-like environment including pickup, dusting, vacuuming, mopping, bathroom cleaning, and laundry. Physical maintenance is required due to lifting light objects such as resident charts, linen, resident care items, appliances, etc., ranging from less than 10-25 pounds without assistance. Other physical requirements are occasional transfers up to 50 pounds with assistance while lifting, positioning, and transferring residents from bed and toilets to wheelchairs, frequent stooping, kneeling, and crouching as required in resident care activities such as assisting with shoes, stockings, restocking shelves with supplies and light housekeeping, standing and walking up to 90% of an eight-hour day to provide resident assistance, and performs other related duties and tasks as directed.
