Meet Nykee — a high-energy, spunky boy just under a year old and still very much all puppy.

Nykee is smart, eager to please, and extremely treat-motivated. He’s already picking up on training quickly, but he’s the kind of dog who thrives when he has both mental stimulation and consistent physical exercise.

He does well with other dogs, but his excitement and puppy energy can be a lot for calmer pets. A single-dog home may be the easiest place for him to settle in while he continues learning and maturing.

Nykee loves toys, enjoys getting out for walks, and is always up for affection. The one thing he’s still unsure about is the car — but at his age, that’s something he can learn with patience and positive experiences.

He’s neutered, healthy, and ready to start becoming the great dog he’s meant to be.

His adoption fee is sponsored.

Please take a moment to read!

We wanted to take the time to thank you for your support and trust of Twin Oaks Veterinary Hospital and to inform you of some changes that are in effect as of 11/25/2025. We have not been accepting new clients for a little over a year and a half due to veterinary shortages, but we now feel confident enough to begin taking on new clients again with our addition of Dr. Chelsea DiGregorio. With that being said, some policies are still in effect. We will continue to only check in patients until 3:30pm Monday-Friday, and until 11:00am on Saturdays. If you feel the need to be seen urgently after these set times there will be an additional $50 urgent fee added onto your bill. Most days we still have a long wait at these times and this allows us to ensure we have time to see them, treat our hospitalized patients, and update owners at the end of the day. The office will still be open until 5:00pm during the week and 12:00pm on Saturdays to pick up medications or patients. Additionally, our phone lines continue to stay tied up and it is hard to get through sometimes, so we urge you to utilize our email for questions if needed. Our email address is twinoakvet@gmail.com, and you can also message us on Facebook or through our website www.twinoaksvethospital.com. We ask that you please refrain from calling or texting our doctor’s personal phones while they are trying to take care of our patients in the clinic. We attempt to keep our messages and emails monitored hourly during business hours for urgent needs and are able to respond to most messages/emails within 24 hours. If there is a question that requires a doctor’s response, a staff member will direct it to them.

We appreciate your patience with us as we try our best to maintain the quality of care we are known for while keeping our prices reasonable. If you have any questions or concerns please feel free to email us.

Meet Salem

Salem is a 4-year-old blue American Pit Terrier who was recently surrendered by his owner. He can be shy and timid in the kennel, but once he’s out, he’s calm, gentle, and very affectionate.

He rides well in the car, walks nicely on a leash, and takes treats softly. His blue coat is beautiful, and his personality is just as sweet.

Salem is neutered and ready for a fresh start. He’s hoping to find a home where he can feel safe and settle in.

Heads up! We will be closed Wednesday and Thursday, November 26th & 27th to celebrate Thanksgiving.

During this time, our parking lot is getting paved🎉with that being said, our doctor on call will be making the decision on whether or not we can see emergencies since we will not be able to drive anywhere near the clinic. Please make sure you speak with the doctor on call before driving here.

We hope everyone has a good holiday! 🦃

Re*****on had a much needed dogs day out! Thanks to Annette with PAC!

He went to the park, rode around in the car and stopped for a pup cup!

Re*****on is the longest resident at the shelter - he is a pit mix who doesn’t do well with small animals but loves people and dogs his size! He’s playful, energetic and STRONG!

Re*****on would do best with an owner who can work with him on basic training skills - he is eager to be the best boy and just needs a little help, and patience, to get there!

He will keep you on your toes with his playful shenanigans - and keep you laughing! Stop by to meet him!
