One thing we hear from customers all the time: “I didn't know you ship orders the same day!"

Yes, we do! Our in-stock components ship the same day when they're ordered by 2 PM CST. When you’re prototyping, testing, or troubleshooting a design, waiting days for components can slow everything down. Getting parts quickly can make all the difference in keeping projects moving.

Place an order today on www.componentsupplycompany.com or call us at 931-761-4000.

"Why is my stainless steel rusting?"

It's not an uncommon question we hear. After all, stainless steel is supposed to be "corrosion resistant", right?

In this episode of Bits & Pieces, Mark and Kristin break down:

• Why corrosion can still occur.

• What environmental factors play a role.

• How secondary processes after passivation, like grinding, can affect corrosion resistance.

If you work with stainless steel components, this conversation might answer a question you’ve had, or help prevent one later.

What do we mean when we say our offering is comprehensive, consistent, and complete? Aren’t those just three ways of saying the same thing?

To us, they’re three very different things:

1) Comprehensive: A huge range of sizes and configurations for core components… and the same for the auxiliary parts that often go with them.
2) Consistent: The same sizes and specs you can rely on, year after year.
3) Complete: More than just high-runners and best sellers. The full line — even the parts that don’t move as fast.

As Mark likes to say, “If you’re going to sell encyclopedias, you have to sell the Q.”

304 or 316 Stainless Steel?
Nylon or Polyester Mesh?
FEP or PTFE Shrink Tubing?

What factors determine which materials you should select? Are you using a material just because it's what you've always used?

In this "This or That" episode of Bits and Pieces, Mark and Kristin discuss the pros and cons of different materials, explain when one material may outperform another in real-world applications, and encourage having the "this or that" conversation early.

If you're in the early stages of development, this episode will help you make choices with confidence. Tune in on Spotify or watch on YouTube 👇

Our Mission

The mission of Component Supply is to be a resource for researchers and product designers by connecting them with the components and knowledge they need to change the world.

While we don’t always know the end-use of the components we supply and fabricate, we are experts at pinpointing the obstacles to R&D right from the start. We never want to see a project die, so we have studied the tension between budget, deadlines, and cost to create a comprehensive product offering, to shorten lead times for supply and fabricated parts, and to limit minimum order quantities. Then, as a project grows, we are equipped to transition from prototype to product volumes. Our role is small, but for universities, research labs, and medical device start-ups all over the world, our impact is huge.
