We know how tempting it is to book a massage when you're under the weather, but out of care for your health (and your therapist!), we have to ask you to wait until you are fully recovered.
Getting a massage when you're sick is counterproductive:
✓It Can Slow Healing: Your body is putting all its energy into fighting the illness. The pressure and input from a massage can be an added stressor that slows your immune system down.
✓Lymphatic Overload: Massage stimulates your lymphatic system (your body's detox highway). When you're sick, this system is already overwhelmed, and a massage could actually overload it and make you feel worse.
✓Discomfort & Congestion: Lying face-down can intensely worsen congestion, and your muscles are often more sensitive and painful to the touch when you're fighting a virus.
Even if you feel you are almost recovered, you need to allow your body time to regain its full strength and return to its baseline. Full recovery is key before booking your healing session.
