November is Homelessness Awareness Month and there are several upcoming opportunities to get involved and help address housing insecurity in our community.

First up is Bridgeway Village Volunteer Day this Saturday, November 9th, 1pm-3pm at 701 Saxon Avenue. A Place to Call Home needs help with inventory and organization of Bridgeway Village donations. Get more information and reserve your spot for free at the link below.

In response to the ongoing measles outbreak in our area, South Carolina Department of Public Health continues to offer MMR vaccination to unvaccinated individuals at no cost.

Piedmont Care was saddened to hear of the passing of Mr. Barry Lytle.

Barry was a longtime supporter of the AIDS Support Network of Spartanburg, a precursor to Piedmont Care.

He was a gifted substance abuse counselor at SADAC and a talented actor at the Spartanburg Little Theater.

Barry leaves a lasting legacy of care and compassion to his community. We send our condolences to his friends and family.
