Route 77 repaving

Spartansburg Borough and Sparta Township remind residents and guests that there will be no on-street parking on Route 77 (Main Street) in Spartansburg on Friday, Saturday and Monday, (Sept. 12, 13 and 15). PennDOT will be paving the road.

No need to wait in line this year! All hunters are guaranteed a doe tag as long as it’s purchased before nonresidents on July 14th!

PA hunters, SAVE THESE DATES!

The first day to purchase your 2025-26 hunting and trapping licenses is Monday, June 23, 2025! This also marks the first day you can purchase RESIDENT antlerless licenses for ALL WMUs in Pennsylvania.

ALL resident hunters are GUARANTEED an antlerless license in any WMU in the first round, IF purchased prior to July 14. No need to wait in line — you’ll have 21 days to get your guaranteed antlerless license!

IMPORTANT REMINDER: Hunters will need their state identification (driver’s license) OR CID to purchase licenses in person and online. To safeguard your personal information, Social Security numbers can no longer be used to look up accounts. Your CID can be found on your previous year’s hunting or fishing licenses.

📆 Monday, June 23 (8 a.m.) – RESIDENT antlerless licenses on sale for all WMUs, guaranteed to all PA residents.

📆 Monday, July 14 (8 a.m.) – NONRESIDENT unsold antlerless licenses available on a first come, first served basis. WMU allocations will apply.

Pennsylvania hunters, you’re going to want to save this post!

The 2025-26 Pennsylvania hunting and trapping seasons and bag limits are now finalized, which means the new license year is right around the corner!

Here are some highlights:
🔸 After-Christmas extended fi****ms season will now be open to all DMAP properties statewide from Dec. 26, 2025, to Jan. 24, 2026. A valid DMAP permit is required for participation in these seasons.

🔸️ An extended fi****ms season will be available in WMUs 4A, 4C, 4D, and 5A, that will run from Jan. 2-19, 2026. A valid antlerless license for the specific WMU in which you are hunting is required to participate.

🔸 Antlerless licenses for ALL WMUs will be guaranteed to Pennsylvania residents, as long as they are purchased BEFORE 7 a.m. on July 14 (when nonresident first round begins).

🔸 Sunday hunting dates established for Nov. 16, Nov. 23, and Nov. 30.

🔸 Statewide bear archery season is shortened to only one week, running from Oct. 18-25, 2025. WMUs 2B, 5B, 5C, and 5D will retain longer formats.

The DDC Clinic Center for Special Needs Children in Titusville is holding a Holiday Wishlist Drive for local families. Shown is the list of items requested or needed. Items can be dropped off at the pharmacy until December 10th. They are also holding a basket auction. Tickets are 10 for $5, and you also get an extra ticket for each item donated. The proceeds from the basket auction will go towards filling the wish list items still needed. Tickets may be purchased at the pharmacy as well.

ATTN: PA DEER HUNTERS

The Pennsylvania Game Commission has announced changes to the RESIDENT antlerless license sales schedule to reduce wait times for hunters purchasing licenses throughout the first round.

🔸 Monday, June 24: Resident antlerless license sales open for WMUs 1B, 2G, and 3A only on a first come, first served basis until sold out.

🔸 Thursday, June 27: Resident antlerless license sales open for all remaining WMUs. Resident antlerless licenses are GUARANTEED for these WMUs in the first round only until July 7.

Antlerless licenses in WMUs 1B, 2G, and 3A have historically sold out in the first round. To avoid overselling, antlerless licenses in these three WMUs are not guaranteed and are available on a first come, first served basis.

Antlerless licenses for all other WMUs will be guaranteed for residents in the first round through Sunday, July 7. Beginning July 8, remaining antlerless licenses will be available on a first come, first served basis until sold out.

Hunters will be able to buy 2024-25 antlerless licenses online at huntfish.pa.gov or at any in-store hunting license issuing agent.

Please ensure your contact information is correct in your online profile at huntfish.pa.gov. The agency will be mailing all hunting license buyers a post card with information related to these changes.
