Pennsylvania hunters, you’re going to want to save this post!
The 2025-26 Pennsylvania hunting and trapping seasons and bag limits are now finalized, which means the new license year is right around the corner!
Here are some highlights:
🔸 After-Christmas extended fi****ms season will now be open to all DMAP properties statewide from Dec. 26, 2025, to Jan. 24, 2026. A valid DMAP permit is required for participation in these seasons.
🔸️ An extended fi****ms season will be available in WMUs 4A, 4C, 4D, and 5A, that will run from Jan. 2-19, 2026. A valid antlerless license for the specific WMU in which you are hunting is required to participate.
🔸 Antlerless licenses for ALL WMUs will be guaranteed to Pennsylvania residents, as long as they are purchased BEFORE 7 a.m. on July 14 (when nonresident first round begins).
🔸 Sunday hunting dates established for Nov. 16, Nov. 23, and Nov. 30.
🔸 Statewide bear archery season is shortened to only one week, running from Oct. 18-25, 2025. WMUs 2B, 5B, 5C, and 5D will retain longer formats.
