✨ THE MORE YOU CELEBRATE BEING ALIVE, THE MORE LIFE GIVES YOU TO CELEBRATE ✨

Gratitude isn’t just a feeling—it’s a practice that shifts everything. When you pause to notice the good, even in the smallest moments, you create space for more joy, more connection, and more abundance to flow into your life.

At Lakes Counseling & Wellness Center, we believe healing and growth begin with awareness—and gratitude is one of the most powerful places to start. 🌿

Today, take a moment to reflect:
What are you grateful for right now?
A person? A fresh start? A quiet morning? Your strength through something hard?

The more you acknowledge what’s already here, the more life expands in beautiful, unexpected ways. 💫

Drop one thing you’re grateful for below—we’d love to celebrate with you. 💚

🎙️ New Episode: Anxiety in Real Life

In this week’s episode of Mind | Body | Soul, Rachel and Jen revisit their conversation on anxiety—but this time, through the lens of real life.

From parenting and business ownership to relationships and self-growth, they share honest updates on what they’ve been navigating and how anxiety is showing up day to day. This isn’t just something they talk about—it’s something they actively work through.

They dive into what it looks like to use tools in real time—grounding in moments of overwhelm, practicing self-compassion, and learning to move through anxiety instead of fighting it.

A big takeaway? Slowing down matters. Creating space to actually feel and process emotions can be one of the most supportive things we can do for our nervous system.

They also explore how anxiety shows up in the body—and how recognizing those signals can help you feel more supported and in control.

If you’ve been feeling overwhelmed or stuck in overdrive, this episode is for you. 💛

Every time you take another brave step forward…
Every time you choose presence over perfection…
And every time you learn to love yourself just a little bit more…

You are healing in ways you may not even see yet.

Growth isn’t always loud or obvious. Sometimes it looks like setting a boundary, taking a deep breath instead of reacting, or simply getting through the day with a little more compassion for yourself than yesterday.

Those small, intentional moments? They add up. They matter. They are shaping a stronger, more grounded version of you.

Keep going. You’re doing deeper work than you realize 🤍

Anxiety isn’t just something we think about — it’s something we live with.

In this week’s Mind | Body | Soul episode, Rachel and Jen circle back to their conversation on anxiety and share real-life updates on how they’re navigating it while balancing parenting, business ownership, relationships, and everyday stress.

This isn’t a “we have it all figured out” conversation — it’s real, honest, and grounded in what it actually looks like to work through anxiety as it shows up.

They talk about:
✨ Practicing self-compassion instead of self-judgment
✨ Slowing down and acknowledging what you’re feeling
✨ Creating space to process emotions instead of pushing through
✨ Using simple tools to regulate in the moment

One of the biggest takeaways?
Sometimes the most powerful thing you can do is give yourself permission to pause.

If you’ve been feeling overwhelmed or stuck in overdrive, this episode is a reminder that you’re not alone — and that small, intentional shifts can make a big difference.

WHY IS RESTING SO HARD?

Because somewhere along the way, you started to believe that rest = unproductive…
and unproductive = unworthy.

And that belief runs deep.

Maybe it showed up in the praise you received for always being busy.
Maybe it came from environments where slowing down wasn’t safe.
Maybe you learned that your value was tied to achievement, output, or how much you could carry without breaking.

So now, when you try to rest…
your mind doesn’t quiet — it questions.
It whispers: “Shouldn’t you be doing something?”
It tells you that slowing down means falling behind.

But here’s the truth:

Rest is not proof that you are doing less.
Rest is not laziness.
Rest is not a lack of ambition.

Rest is your nervous system asking for regulation.
Rest is your body asking to be heard.
Rest is how you sustain the life you’re working so hard to build.

Sometimes, rest is the most productive thing you can do —
because it allows you to return with clarity, energy, and presence.

And sometimes…
rest is simply proof that you are finally listening to yourself.

You are allowed to pause.
You are allowed to breathe.
You are allowed to exist without constantly proving your worth.
