Last fall we received input from Dickinson County residents about what needs to be improved in our communities from a health perspective. Four things rose to the top - behavioral health, cancer, aging well, and healthy living. We have since met with several organizations and stakeholders within the community to develop plans to address these issues. The result is the Community Health Improvement Plan (CHIP). Our staff nominate other team members for the STARR Award, which stands for Striving to Achieve Remarkable Results. Recently RN Jorden (left) nominated LPN Morgan (right) for the award, saying:

"Morgan is an excellent coworker and nurse. Morgan is always willing to help and is eager for new learning opportunities. She provides her patients and their families with prompt, compassionate care and is a great resource for her coworkers. A specific recent example is that Morgan took the time to help her team with a patient that was not directly assigned to her. Morgan remained in the patient's room to try to console and comfort the patient while he was distraught. She helped the primary RN determine when and how often to give the patient medications and assisted the RN in suctioning the patient. Morgan is truly an asset to the LRH team!"
