Due to expansion we are hiring Direct Support Professionals! We work with the most amazing folks in Spirit Lake, IA. They are diagnosed with mental illness and/or severe emotional disturbance. Think PTSD, trauma, depression etc.

While wrestling with the effects of those diagnoses, they also have to do life. Shopping, budgeting, chores, personal hygiene, have friendships etc all while experiencing symptoms of mental illness. That's where the Direct Support Professional comes in! In this role you will support and assist them in meeting their goals. You will work in their home with them. You will take the necessary steps to help them meet their goals. Once you've helped them, and we will train you, you then complete a short computer report on how your time with them went.

You must have a reliable vehicle and a smart phone. You will work in the Spirit Lake area but may leave the are to take clients to appointments. You will have two weeks of orientation prior to going to your assigned house to work.

We work three 12hr shifts weekly, more or less hours if you want it. We have health insurance available, PTO, premium pay for weekends and holidays, a bonus of $1/hr if you work your assigned shifts. We also have vision and dental insurance available.

Lakes LifeSkills is located in Spirit Lake, IA. We work with folks diagnosed with mental illness or serious emotional disturbance. Think PTSD, trauma, bipolar etc. These epic humans rely on us to support them in becoming as independent as possible in the community and at home.

You will work in their home to provide support and skill building to move them towards their goals.

You need to be compassionate and caring. Able to complete a report online of your visit with your client. You must have a drivers license and reliable vehicle and a smart phone.

We will pay your mileage if you transport clients in your vehicle. We will pay you weekly, an extra dollar an hour if you turn up for your scheduled shift and we have health insurance, dental & vision available for you.

We can find a schedule that will work for both of us and that schedule then repeats all year so that you can schedule your life.

We will train you to do this job but you must come with the prerequisite desire to help people. You will be working in our clients homes.

We are looking for someone who has another job, family, or other commitment that this package would suit! We are offering
Friday 5pm-9pm,
Saturday 8am-4pm and
Sunday 1pm-9pm
as a weekly schedule. (Or some 20hr package of your choosing)

This package will receive an hourly wage of $13-$15/hr plus a shift bonus of $100/week. So, if you work 20hrs a weekend you would gross $360-$400/week.

Maintenance Technician

We are looking to hire someone positive, self-motivated, and READY to grow with us!
Specifically, we are looking for A Maintenance Technician who is a thorough professional with a practical mind and attention to detail. The ideal candidate will be able to work autonomously and responsibly by observing all health and safety guidelines.

The goal is to maintain the buildings and common areas in the best possible condition.
*Responsibilities*
Survey buildings and repair mechanical systems to ensure they are consistent with health and safety standards
Perform maintenance of electrical systems (replace light bulbs and sockets, etc.)
Maintain heating and plumbing systems to ensure functionality (Contact professionals when repair is outside your capabilities)
Perform manual repairs when necessary (fix locks, replace doors, minor drywall repairs etc.)
Conduct general upkeep procedures (e.g. HVAC filter changes, light bulbs, etc) and other tasks as assigned (minor painting, minor carpentry etc.)

This shift is focused on calming the environment to enable our clients to get good therapeutic sleep.
