December was tough on a handful of our clients and sadly we lost some dear souls.
The holidays often bring that to pass with the elderly population…
They tend to hang on to see family and friends for one last holiday season…and then let go.
We have openings for a few new clients currently as a result. If you know of anyone who could use our love and support, point them our way!

This poem makes me think of the sacred space we hold for our dear clients. There is sooo much of them we weren’t there for, so much we’ll never know about them. But we get the distinct priviledge to be there in their twilight years…walking with them through the last few miles of their long and colorful journeys.
So blessed to do such deep, impactful work.

I Was Not There

I was not there to see your sunrise
when the first rays of light
pierced the darkness
and ruddy fire burst upon the horizon
I was not there

I was not there to see your morning
your dewy green
filled with wonder and exploration
light and life
I was not there

I was not there to see your noonday
when heat was at its prime
and shadows disappeared
beneath your feet
I was not there

But I was there to see your evening
the lengthening shadows on the ground
gray clouds and thunder
and the rain
I was there

And I will stay to watch your sunset
when ruddy fire bursts once again
upon the horizon…
and when it fades and yields to darkness
I’ll be there still

Many people don’t realize that we will come and be with your loved one around the clock when they are on hospice and nearing end of life. We will provide comfort to them, and to their families…and be the strong support system all the hours that the visiting nurses wish they could stay and provide but cannot.
Reach out to us today if you have a loved one nearing the end of their journey and would like a caregiver with them until they go…so they are never alone.
We will go to hospitals, nursing homes, and even help you get your loved one HOME and provide all the support you need in the comfort of your own four walls. We will take all the questions and guess work out of it for you.
