I love the Japanese reframe on menopause. Menopause isn’t you “losing your mind.”
It’s your body saying: we’re not doing things the old way anymore.
Hot flashes. Zero tolerance. A nervous system that refuses to be gaslit.
In Kōnenki—the season of renewal—women stop shrinking, stop performing, and stop pretending they’re fine when they’re not.
And yes, this affects relationships.
Menopause and andropause don’t break couples—unexamined expectations do.
Loving work in this season looks like:
🔥 honesty over harmony
🔥 rest over resilience
🔥 intimacy that adapts instead of demands
You’re not difficult.
You’re evolving in your second spring.
