Did your child participate in Early Support for Infants and Toddlers (ESIT)?

If your child exited ESIT at age three since 2022, or will exit in the next six months, we would truly value your voice.

The Rosalie Murrey Memorial Foundation is gathering feedback from Spokane County families to better understand transitions out of ESIT and identify where support can be stronger.

Thank you for taking the time to visit Commissioner Amber Waldref!

I loved touring Joya Child & Family Development to see firsthand the wraparound neurodevelopmental support the staff and community provide to families throughout our county, setting the children in their care up for long term success. The Board of County Commissioners recently voiced support for continued State funding for Early Support for Infants and Toddlers (ESIT), which if cut would significantly impact Joya's capacity. I'm grateful for the time spent in this thoughtful space, and for the care shown to our smallest county residents!

We’re encouraged to share that both the House and Senate budget proposals do not include cuts to the Early Support for Infants and Toddlers (ESIT) program. We’re hopeful the final budget will maintain this level of funding and commitment to Spokane’s youngest children.

A sincere thank you to the Spokane County legislative delegation for your bipartisan support and thoughtful consideration of early intervention services.

The Legislature is scheduled to adjourn March 12, and we remain hopeful that final negotiations will protect ESIT funding!

We’re so grateful to the organizations and individuals who have signed on in support of Early Support for Infants and Toddlers (ESIT). Your voices matter!

The Legislature has until March 12 to finalize its budget, and it’s vital that ESIT avoid this deep cut. Early intervention changes lives, and our community has made it clear that these services matter.

Keep making your voice heard!
