Two of our pediatric oncology patients met in our in‑hospital school and quickly became the kind of friends who make the hard days a little easier.

Our Hospital School Program, made possible by the Providence Inland Northwest Foundation, supports kids who need to stay with us longer than expected. And sometimes, along the way, they find friendships that mean everything.

Providence Sacred Heart Medical Center recently installed a new x‑ray system that brings safer, low‑dose imaging, quicker exams, and expanded services like scoliosis and leg‑length studies—all right here on campus.

We are excited to announce that registration is now open for the Tri-County Rural Healthcare Exploration Camp—an exciting opportunity for students to explore a wide range of healthcare careers and pathways.

Hosted at Providence Mount Carmel Hospital, this immersive experience is designed to introduce students to clinical and non-clinical roles in healthcare through hands on learning, career exploration, and direct insight from healthcare professionals. Students will gain a better understanding of rural healthcare while engaging with caregivers and community partners.

Our caregivers lived our Mission at this year’s Spokane Homeless Connect—offering compassion, dignity, and needed support to our neighbors experiencing homelessness.

Providence teams distributed winter care packages and provided 21 hearing screenings and 15 ear exams, helping guests stay safe, warm, and connected to follow‑up care.

Thank you to every Providence team involved for careing for those most vulnerable in our community.

Happy 100th Birthday, Betty!

We were honored to celebrate Betty’s 100th birthday at Providence St. Luke’s Rehabilitation Medical Center— the same place she began her nursing career during World War II.

Betty has spent decades supporting St. Luke’s through her service and leadership in auxiliary projects, and her love for this community runs deep.

Join us in wishing Betty a very happy 100th birthday.

When Betty Adams planned her 100th birthday, she wanted a party in a special place, one tied to fond memories and her start in the U.S. Cadet Nurse Corps. This past Saturday, nearly 100 people joined Adams at Providence St. Luke's Rehabilitation Medical Center.

Providence Sacred Heart Medical Center is now officially a Comprehensive Stroke Center. It is the highest level of stroke care in the nation. This is a huge milestone for Spokane and the Inland Northwest, and we couldn’t be more proud of our caregivers.
