Today was extra special as we celebrated our February birthdays in the sweetest way! 💕 We had the honor of welcoming the incredibly talented The Weddle Twins who filled the room with wonderful music, smiles, and lots of toe-tapping fun! 🎶✨

They wrapped up the celebration by leading everyone in a joyful rendition of “Happy Birthday,” making our guests of honor feel truly celebrated. 🥳🎤

It’s been a wonderfully busy week as we celebrated Valentine’s Day in so many heartfelt ways!

We kicked off the festivities with a special Valentine’s Bingo, where laughter filled the room and friendly competition brought out everyone’s playful spirit. It was the perfect way to begin a week dedicated to love and connection.

We were also treated to beautiful entertainment by Olivia Tracy, who performed love melodies on the piano while sharing her stunning vocals. Her music created a warm and romantic atmosphere that truly touched our hearts. Following her performance, local author Elena Hartwell delighted our residents by reading timeless love stories from William Shakespeare. The classic words of romance and devotion added a meaningful and literary touch to our celebration.

To conclude our festivities, we hosted a lovely Valentine’s Party featuring a delicious sampler of food, elegant décor, and special music from Spareparts—a select group of talented musicians who performed all our favorite tunes. The room was filled with joy, dancing, and sweet moments shared among friends.

And of course, no celebration would be complete without Maddie, who captured unforgettable memories through her lens, preserving the smiles and special moments of the day.

It was a week full of love, laughter, music, storytelling, and community—one we won’t soon forget. ❤️

Residents and staff are gathering at South Hill Village to watch the Super Bowl, cheering on our Seattle Seahawks together. Everyone is decked out in team colors and spirit gear, proudly showing their support for our home team. Along with the excitement of the game, there was some friendly side betting for fun, plenty of laughter, and an abundance of delicious food and drinks to enjoy. The energy in the room is contagious, making it a memorable and spirited event for everyone who joined in.

South Hill Village proudly celebrated Spirit Week with a variety of fun and creative theme days that invited both residents and staff to dress up, participate, and enjoy the spirit of each day together. From the silliness of Crazy Socks and Hair Day, to the elegance and creativity of Dress-Up Day, and ending the week with an energetic Sports Day, there was excitement and laughter around every corner.

Dress-Up Day was made even more special with the presence of our professional photographer, Stacy Markezic , who joined us to capture the memorable moments and beautiful expressions throughout the day. The halls were filled with smiles, conversations, and plenty of photo-worthy moments as everyone proudly showed off their outfits and personalities.

Spirit Week was a wonderful reminder of the joy, connection, and sense of community that make South Hill Village such a special place to call home.

🎉💙 Birthday love in ! 💙🎉

Today we had the absolute joy of celebrating our resident Glenn’s birthday alongside his wonderful family — and what a special day it was! 🥰 Glenn was the only January birthday in our entire building, so we made sure he felt extra celebrated.

We baked fresh cookies, filled the room with smiles, and sang a heartfelt round of Happy Birthday just for him 🎶🍪

Here’s to Glenn, to family, and to many more birthdays filled with love, laughter, and sweet moments ahead 💙🎂

The room was beautifully set for an amazing event celebrating the unique personalities of our beloved residents. Ballots were handed out for a variety of fun categories, building excitement for the big reveal.

The grand ceremony finally arrived, with the red carpet rolled down the aisle, trophies gleaming, and champagne flowing. Our Life Enrichment Director, Carine, masterfully MC’d the event, guiding everyone through the afternoon with warmth and enthusiasm.

Our chef, Michelle, delighted everyone with a beautiful sampler of hors d’oeuvres, while her servers—elegantly dressed in evening gowns—circulated the room offering drinks and tasty bites. Each winner was graciously escorted to the red carpet and podium to receive their golden award.

Behind the scenes, our nurse, Ingrid, stepped into the role of photographer, capturing every smile and special moment, while Barb, our Marketing Director, traded her pen for curling irons and brushes, ensuring our residents looked perfectly styled and ready for such an exquisite evening.

In total, fifteen residents were honored, all beaming with joy as they accepted their awards from fellow residents here at South Hill Village. The afternoon was filled with music from classic Broadway favorites and concluded with a fun snapshot in the photo booth as residents made their way down the red-carpeted staircase—bringing a glamorous and unforgettable celebration to a perfect close.
