Each December for the past four years, our Administrator has hosted “Alex’s Annual Holiday Breakfast” for the management team at Cherrywood Care. The team gets to dress up in festive attire, pick a local breakfast spot, and exchange a fun Christmas goodie! This year we wore pajamas, exchange stockings and went to We also extended an invitation to a couple of our volunteers this season! This is just a small token of our appreciation for all our management does to keep Cherrywood Care a premier destination for Assisted Living in Spokane!

December has been a whirlwind of a month here at Cherrywood! Brace yourself for a plethora of posts!

Our first post of the day is to show our gratitude for our community and our love for animals! Our residents, staff and community members came together to collect dog food for our friends at SpokAnimal! We were able to gather close to 400 pounds of food and multiple blankets that we dropped off last week! What a blessing to be able to give back!

A couple of weeks ago we were blessed enough to host a beautiful Thanksgiving dinner for our residents and their families. We were lead in prayer by our good friend Jim, while enjoying delicious food and cocktails. We finished our evening with a piano performance from Andrew, who serenaded us with holiday tunes! Love and abundance were the words of the evening! Happy holidays!

Meet Louie, one of the youngest of the crew, but with the biggest heart. Louie joins us right out of high school as a Hospitality Aide assisting with laundry, dining services, and maintenance! Louie dreams of following his parent’s footsteps and joining the service when the time is right. For the meantime, Louie can be found at Cherrywood assisting residents and playing with his dog Canelo. We’re glad to have you Louie!

EVERYTHING is a friendly competition around here! This month we broke up into teams and competed for coffee gift cards to ensure Relias training completion. Team 3, compiled of Louie, Ethan (not pictured), Kathy, Bambi and Heather, pushed each other to ensure each member of their team completed ALL of the Relias training assigned to them before our 11/20 deadline! Way to go Team 3!
