An Amsler Grid allows patients to check their central vision at home by looking for distortion or missing areas.

How to use it: Cover one eye, focus on the center dot, and note any wavy lines, blurry spots, or missing areas. Repeat with the other eye.

Using it regularly helps track changes and supports early intervention when needed. 👁️💙

Did you know Spokane Eye Clinic offers PRK vision correction?

Photorefractive Keratectomy (PRK) is an advanced refractive eye surgery that reshapes the cornea to reduce dependence on glasses and contacts — just like LASIK, but with some unique benefits.

Why consider PRK?
• Great option for people who don’t qualify for LASIK (thin corneas, active lifestyles)
• No flap-related complications (vs. LASIK)
• Fewer enhancements or touch-ups needed over time

At Spokane Eye, we begin every PRK journey with a free consultation to see if it’s the right fit for your vision goals.

Schedule your consultation today with one of our PRK providers, Dr. Mortensen or Dr. Skoog!

Think your vision feels fine? 👀

AMD can begin without obvious symptoms, especially early on. Many people have no symptoms at first, which is why regular eye exams are so important — especially as we age. Early detection allows for closer monitoring and timely care.
