In honor of Mema’s birthday coming up this weekend, I’m doing something exciting for my event!

I know how special my upcoming event is. I’ve seen what happens in that room. The connections, the conversations, the way women leave feeling lighter and more supported.

So we’re doing something a little fun and very on brand for my Mema who LOVES a good deal 🤍

And if you’ve been hesitant because coming alone feels intimidating, I get that. It can feel scary walking into a space where you don’t know anyone.

So don’t.

Bring your partner, your bestie, your sister, your grandma, or a friend. I’ll be bringing my Mema!
They don’t have to be pregnant or postpartum to come with you. They just get to be part of the experience.

After the first event, where so many women walked in as strangers and left feeling connected, supported, and a little more rooted in their village, 1 knew we had to do it again
Join us for a pregnancy and postpartum wellness workshop designed to bring Spokane mothers together for an afternoon of connection, support, and intentional care. This workshop is for families who are trying to conceive, pregnant or postpartum.
There’s something really special about gathering in a room full of women who get it.
We’ll spend the afternoon slowing down, learning, creating, and being poured into through:
• hands-on wellness activities
• meaningful conversations with local experts
• thoughtful take-home gifts
• light refreshments + community
• and space to just be

Mary is a certified lactation counselor with a passion for helping families navigate feeding their babies from birth through weaning. Her desire is for parents to feel supported in their feeding goals, and informed for the decisions they make along the way.

Taylor will be speaking on yoga for birth prep, postpartum recovery & community!

Taylor is a doula and yoga teacher serving the greater Spokane area. After several years of teaching perinatal yoga, she founded her doula practice, Sage and Steele Birthworks, named after her two sons. She’s passionate about helping families feel supported, informed, and empowered throughout pregnancy, birth, and postpartum through a holistic, community-centered approach.

It is really special looking back on a room full of women who showed up exactly as they were… and left a little more connected, a little more seen, and a little more supported.

Our December gathering is one I’ll hold close for a long time 🤍
We had the most incredible lineup of women pouring into this space — Dr. Kristina Schramm, Moriah Eagle (OT), Bre Hanson (Postpartum Doula & Early Parent Educator), and Mary Peters (Lactation Specialist). Each of them shared their knowledge so generously, creating a space that felt both grounding and empowering.

Between the meaningful conversations, the support being exchanged, and the little moments in between… it truly felt like a village forming in real time.

We were also surrounded by so much generosity from local businesses. Thoughtful gifts, nourishing food, and one of my favorite parts… creating custom bath soaks tailored to whatever stage of motherhood each woman was in. Such a simple, intentional way to care for ourselves.

And honestly… this is exactly why I do this.

Because motherhood was never meant to be done alone.

I’m so deeply grateful for every single woman who came, every speaker who shared, and every business that contributed to making that day what it was.

And I cannot wait to do it all again ✨
Our next gathering is May 1st, and it’s already shaping up to be just as special (if not more).

Meet one of our amazing guest speakers for the Lilac Mother’s Gathering Wellness Workshop!

Amanda will be speaking on “Supporting Mental Health During Postpartum”

Amanda Ewing, owner and therapist at Awakened Soul Counseling, serves clients throughout Washington from her office in the North Spokane/Mead area. Amanda is dedicated to guiding individuals on their journey to healing and self-discovery. She integrates traditional therapy with holistic techniques, empowering her clients to achieve balance and inner peace. She has been practicing since 2017 and has specialized training in perinatal and postpartum support, birth trauma, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, grief work, Emotionally Focused Therapy,  holistic health, spirituality, Hypnotherapy and more. Amanda’s style is relational, supportive and focused on developing a close working relationship to help you achieve your wellness goals.

This group meets every Tuesday in Spokane Valley. Come as you are and when you can! The time is not strict since all new moms are on “baby standard time”! There is a new educational topic each week taught from 10a-11a.
