🚨Keep an Eye on Curious Pups! 🚨

Even our veterinary families aren’t immune to holiday mishaps! While traveling for the holidays, one of our doctors’ dogs, Soju Heilman, got into rat bait 😢🐾. Thankfully, she received prompt care and he’s a great reminder of how important quick action can be.

🧪 What to do if your pet ingests rat bait:
• Act immediately — rat bait is extremely toxic
• Do NOT wait for symptoms to appear
• Do not induce vomiting unless directed by a veterinarian
• Call the pet poison helpline 855-764-7661
• Bring the packaging (if available) so we know exactly what type was ingested
• Seek veterinary care right away — time truly matters

If you ever have concerns about a possible toxin exposure, please call us or head to the nearest emergency veterinary clinic immediately.

Meet this week's Perfect Patient... P***y Zettler! 🐾💚 P***y has officially earned the title of Toughest ICU Warrior! 👏🏼🐶 Despite the challenges, P***y kept fighting like a champ, and we're so proud of how strong and brave this sweet furball is.

As we gear up for the holidays, we want to wish everyone (and their pets!) a safe and happy holiday season. 🎄✨ But remember, if anything happens to your fur baby during the holidays, we’re here for you. Our doors are open on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day to make sure your pets get the care they need, when they need it. 🐾❤️

When Mila the poodle came in, we couldn’t help but notice something extra special… 👀🐩
One of our wonderful Veterinary Assistants showed up with the exact same hairstyle right down to the matching hair ties! 💕🎀

Talk about being meant to be 💁‍♀️🐾
Mila totally stole the show (and our hearts), and this twinning moment made our day even brighter.

When Mo’s not looking regal or patrolling the yard, he enjoys sleeping in, followed by long naps, counter surfing, long walks, and de-stuffing toys. 😄🐶

🦃🍁 Happy Thanksgiving from the Pet Emergency Clinic! 🍁🦃

We are so grateful for our amazing clients, patients, and community. As you gather with loved ones today, here are a few quick reminders to help keep your furry family members safe this holiday:

🐶 Safe Thanksgiving Treats for Dogs:

✔️ Plain turkey (no skin, no bones)
✔️ Plain mashed potatoes (no butter, garlic, or seasoning)
✔️ Steamed veggies like green beans, carrots, or peas
✔️ Pumpkin purée (NOT pumpkin pie mix)

❌ Foods to Avoid:

🚫 Turkey bones & fatty skin – can cause blockages or pancreatitis
🚫 Stuffing – often contains onions, garlic, & seasoning that are toxic
🚫 Grapes & raisins – extremely dangerous for dogs
🚫 Chocolate & desserts
🚫 Alcohol, ham, and heavily seasoned dishes

If your pet gets into something they shouldn’t or begins showing signs of illness, we’re here for you. ❤️
