Spooner Health will be breaking ground on an exciting new addition to the hospital in May. The addition will include a primary care clinic, jointly owned by Tamarack Health and Spooner Health, as well as a new space for the visiting specialist clinic, general surgery, and wound care departments. The relocation of these services to the new space will allow the emergency department to add three additional treatment rooms to better serve our patients. On Wednesday, we raised our Donate Life flag at Spooner Health. This annual event honors organ, eye, and tissue donors and encourages others to join the donor registry. The flag raising is followed by a moment of silence dedicated to the more than 108,000 patients who are still waiting to receive a lifesaving gift.

If you have signs or symptoms of varicose veins, come see us for a free vein screening appointment, including a screening ultrasound of your leg veins. After your ultrasound, meet with one of Spooner Health’s vein treatment providers to discuss treatment options. Signs or symptoms of varicose veins may include:
✔ Large or bulging veins that are visible under the skin
✔ Heavy, tired, or painful legs
✔ Swelling of ankles or feet
✔ Cramping, aching, or itching on legs
