Callan JMB has announced a new agreement with Attune Biotech to support clinical trials investigating a potential treatment for Long COVID.

Attune recently received confirmation that the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has assigned Investigational New Drug (IND) application number 181314 for JKB-122 (lodonal™), an investigational therapy currently being developed for people living with Post-Acute Sequelae of SARS-CoV-2 infection (PASC), commonly known as Long COVID.

Long COVID continues to affect millions of people across the United States, with an estimated 20 million Americans experiencing persistent symptoms and no FDA-approved therapies currently available.

Under the partnership, Callan JMB will serve as an independent third-party overseer of Attune’s manufacturing, quality assurance, and operational processes as the company prepares to launch a randomized Phase 2b/3 clinical trial evaluating the safety and effectiveness of lodonal™.

Both organizations say the collaboration will help ensure regulatory compliance while accelerating the development of potential therapies for conditions that remain underserved.
