🎸✨ Elvis Has Left the Building… But the Smiles Are Still Here! ✨🎸

This past Friday, we had an absolute blast celebrating Elvis Presley’s birthday, and what a celebration it was! The building was filled with music, dancing, and nonstop smiles as Chuck Baril joined us and did an incredible job impersonating the one and only King of Rock ’n’ Roll 👑🎶

Our residents were up on their feet, dancing, clapping, and singing along—pure joy from start to finish. The energy in the room was contagious, and you could truly feel the excitement as Elvis’ classic hits brought back so many wonderful memories.

One of the most special moments came at the end of the celebration, when our residents shared amazing stories from the times they had the pleasure of seeing Elvis in person. Hearing those memories was truly priceless and reminded us how powerful music can be in bringing people together.

We want to give a HUGE thank you to Main Street Home Cleaning, our amazing local home cleaning service, for coming out to The Goldton and volunteering their time to take down all of our Christmas decorations 🎄

They were an absolute dream to work with—fast, organized, and with the best attitude from start to finish. Thanks to their hard work, everything was taken down, organized, and cleaned up so well that it looks like Christmas never even happened in our building!

Their help made such a big difference for our team, and we are incredibly grateful for their kindness, generosity, and attention to detail. Supporting local businesses like this truly reminds us how special our community is ❤️

🌟 Associate of the Month: Elizabeth Rosa🌟

We are honored to recognize Elizabeth Rosa as our Associate of the Month! She was born in New Jersey and moved to Tennessee at 8 years old. She comes from a big, loving family with four sisters and two furbabies, and she is a devoted mom to her beautiful daughter, Addalynn.

With 8 years of caregiving experience, she brings extraordinary compassion, patience, and dedication to her role. Caregiving isn’t just her career—it is truly her calling. She treats every resident at The Goldton like family, and her kindness shines through in everything she does. Her connection with our residents is genuine, loving, and deeply appreciated.

Outside of work, she enjoys nature walks, cleaning, and spending quality time with her daughter and family. One of her favorite quotes perfectly reflects her heart:

Our Residents Spot Light ✨✨

Georgianna—affectionately known as Georgi—was born in Newark, New Jersey, where she spent most of her life building a dedicated career with the United States Postal Service. After many years of service, she embraced a well-earned retirement, carrying with her a strong work ethic and an even stronger sense of independence. A proud single mother to her two children, Lynne and Stuart, her family roots reach from North Carolina to Tennessee, grounding her in rich history and deep tradition.

Georgianna is a phenomenal cook whose kitchen has always been a place of comfort and joy. Her famous collard greens and irresistible candied yams are legendary among those lucky enough to taste them—dishes made with the kind of love and expertise only years of experience can create. Her talents didn’t stop at cooking; she also enjoyed working part-time as a travel agent, a job that allowed her to pursue a passion for exploring the world. Her adventures have taken her to many countries, with her most recent journey being a memorable visit to Habana, Cuba, just two years ago.

A lively sports fan, Georgianna enjoys football, baseball, and basketball, cheering with enthusiasm for every big play. Her spirited personality has carried her through many chapters of life. At 81, she boldly moved to North Carolina, but after a short time, realized it wasn’t quite the right fit. True to her independent nature, she packed her bags and headed to Las Vegas. When her son expressed concern about the distance, she confidently replied, “Will you let me live until I die?”

After two exciting years in Vegas, Georgianna returned to North Carolina and later chose to settle in Tennessee to be closer to her son. She now calls The Goldton home, where her vibrant energy continues to brighten every room she enters. She has a deep love for live music and entertainment, especially jazz, which speaks to her soulful and spirited nature.

Fun-loving, determined, and full of zest, Georgianna lives life on her own terms—and we at The Goldton are so happy to have her with us.

At The Goldton, we’ve been having the sweetest time enjoying all kinds of ice cream floats—and the smiles say it all! Our residents loved learning how to make them, mixing flavors, and getting creative with different sodas and ice cream combinations. From classic favorites to fun new flavors, the best part was tasting each one and sharing lots of laughs along the way.

These moments are more than just a treat—they’re about creating joyful experiences, trying something new, and making memories together. Watching our residents get excited, curious, and happy reminds us why we love what we do.

🏠 Sweet Creations & Teamwork 🏠

These past days have been so busy with all kinds of activities and visits, but one of our favorite moments was building gingerbread houses together! This activity truly brought out the creativity and teamwork among our residents.

From choosing colorful candies to carefully placing each decoration, everyone worked side by side, shared ideas, and added their own special touch. And of course, some residents decided to skip the house-building part altogether and went straight for the candy—because who can resist? 🍬😄 That just made the day even more fun and full of laughs.

Each gingerbread house turned out unique, and the joy, laughter, and sweet memories made were even better than the treats themselves. That’s what makes life at The Goldton so special.

📚🎶 A Very Special Visit from Columbia Academy 🎶📚

Today our hearts absolutely melted as we welcomed 6th graders and kindergarten students from Columbia Academy to our community. The students sang beautiful songs and read to our residents, filling the building with joy, laughter, and so much love.

They were incredibly kind, polite, and thoughtful, and you could truly feel the warmth and connection all around the building. Moments like these remind us how powerful intergenerational connections can be and how much joy they bring to everyone involved.

What an amazing turnout we had for our Memory Care Elf Village Christmas Party at The Goldton! Our hearts were so full seeing our families spend meaningful time with their loved ones, sharing smiles, laughter, and sweet holiday moments together.

Santa was absolutely wonderful—so gentle, kind, and tender with our residents, creating moments that truly touched everyone in the room. These are the memories that matter most. ❤️
