Redness, bumps, and breakouts are not always acne. 🔍

Rosacea and acne can look very similar, but they are different conditions and require different treatments. Understanding the difference is key to improving your skin.

Signs it may be acne:
• Blackheads or whiteheads
• Deeper pimples or cysts
• Breakouts on the face, chest, or back

Signs it may be rosacea:
• Persistent facial redness
• Flushing triggered by heat, stress, or spicy foods
• Visible blood vessels
• Bumps mainly on the cheeks and nose

Here in Middle Tennessee, the weather has been all over the place lately. One day it is cold and dry, the next it is warm and humid. These constant temperature swings, along with indoor heating, can strip your skin’s natural moisture barrier and leave skin feeling dehydrated and irritated.

When the barrier becomes compromised, skin can lose hydration more quickly, making dryness, redness, and fine lines more noticeable.

Common signs of dry skin include:
• Flaking or rough texture
• Itching or tightness
• Increased redness
