Today's Meditation 🙏
Scripture: John 15:11
“That my joy may be in you, and that your joy may be full.”
Notice any longing for joy.
Notice how often joy feels just out of reach.
Keller often warned that when joy becomes the goal, it becomes elusive. But when God becomes the goal, joy arrives as a companion.
Joy is not something you manufacture.
It is something you receive.
Joy is not constant enthusiasm.
It is deep reassurance.
It is the settled confidence that your life is held within God’s purposes, even when feelings fluctuate.
Do not force happiness.
Do not chase feeling.
Simply abide in love.
Let joy emerge in its own time
Rest quietly with this promise.
Jesus does not speak of fleeting happiness, but of His own joy—steady, rooted, unshakeable.
A joy that does not depend on circumstances, achievements, or approval.
A joy that flows from remaining in His love.
Breathe in the truth that this joy is given, not earned.
It is planted within you as you abide—by staying close, listening, trusting, and loving.
As a branch draws life from the vine, so your soul draws joy from Christ.
Notice what feels empty, heavy, or tired within you.
Offer it gently to God.
Allow His joy to fill those spaces—not all at once, but faithfully, like light spreading at dawn.
Rest in the assurance that fullness does not mean perfection.
It means completeness in Him.
Even in sorrow, His joy can dwell within you—quiet, strong, sustaining.
Let His joy take root.
Let it grow.
Let it make you whole.
