We would like to sincerely thank all of the volunteers and businesses that donated time, energy and resources for the recent house fire on Jan. 10th. The willingness of the community to come together to support our fire departments and the family that was affected was genuinely inspiring. We would like to thank Casey’s of Spring Valley, Spring Valley McDonald’s and the Gold Mine Restaurant for donating food and hot drinks for everyone that night. We also would like to thank anyone else that contributed in any way, even small gestures are a big help and are appreciated. Thank you!

It is with great honor that we recently recognized Gary Robison on his retirement from 10/33. Gary served for 45 years of dedicated and distinguished service for our communities. We will miss all the late night trips and hilarious jokes he had to help make our jobs a little less stressful. His loyalty and commitment will not be forgotten. We wish you the best of luck and health Ducky!!

The entire 10/33 organization would like to extend our sincere condolences to the family of Sue Huss and the Tonica Fire Department family during this difficult time. Sue was not only a great Paramedic and Director, she truly had the courage and compassion to help anyone in their time of need. Many of us got to experience first hand her passion for EMS through the years while she worked at 10/33. Sue set the bar for many others to follow in her footsteps and she will undoubtedly be missed by many. Thank you for all you have done and God bless Sue.

We hope everyone is staying safe and healthy, and enjoying the warmer weather!
We wanted to also send out a reminder to everyone that 10/33 is available to provide transfer services to all the local hospitals. If you or a loved one is being transferred to another hospital, we can provide that service from a local ambulance service, in a timely manner. You and your family have the legal right to choose which ambulance service you would like to use, as you always have a choice in your care. We can provide these services to our local residents at a lower cost, resulting from in-district charges and discounts. You also have the right to know what the charges will be for the transfer before you accept the service. 10/33 provides upfront information regarding our charges in writing at the time of service. We strongly recommend you request this information from any of the ambulance services before agreeing to their services.
If you have the need for ambulance services, please remember your local ambulance service can provide that service, at a lower cost, with a quicker response, with no surprise billing later. 10/33 has the ability to provide all levels of care, from Basic to the highest Critical Care levels without difficulty, with local EMS professionals. All you need to do is request 10/33 Ambulance to the hospital staff when transfer services are needed, and they are required to respect your wishes. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact Director Bob Hoscheid or the Shift Supervisor at 815-663-6683 and we can answer those or assist in setting up your transfer.
Thank you for supporting your local EMS service!!
