Reverse tummy tuck V.S. Traditional? 🤷🏻‍♂️

This patient came to me with significant laxity above the belly button and saline implants that were placed over two decades ago. In situations like this, addressing only one concern often leads to incomplete results, so a combined surgical plan is key.
I performed a reverse tummy tuck, which is specifically designed to tighten the upper abdominal region, an area that traditional abdominoplasty doesn’t fully correct.
 Patients choose a reverse tummy tuck when:
 • Their laxity is primarily above the belly button • They’ve had prior abdominal surgery that limits traditional approaches • They need a targeted lift without revising the entire lower abdomen

At the same time, I exchanged her 20+ year-old saline implants to improve long-term safety, shape, and overall balance with her newly tightened upper abdomen.
