I hope I never look like the woman in the first photo again… and I don’t mean physically.

Because none of us should stay the same.

Life is supposed to change us.
We’re supposed to learn.
We’re supposed to grow.
And once we know better, we should do better.

The woman in the first picture was hurting.
Exhausted. Inflamed. Hormones out of balance.
Trying everything but not understanding what was actually happening inside her body.

Then I learned what metabolic health really meant.

I learned how insulin resistance was affecting everything — my weight, my hormones, my energy, my mood.

☀️ Saturday mornings look a little different around here…

Garden dirt on the stepping stones.
Flowers waking up with the sun.
And my four-legged supervisors making sure everything gets planted correctly. 🐾

One of the pillars of lifestyle medicine that I talk about with my patients all the time is stress management. Another big one is social connection.

For me, both of those happen right here.

Being in the garden slows my nervous system down. It pulls me out of the rush of the week and back into something simple and grounding. And these babies? They’re my daily reminder that connection doesn’t always have to be complicated.

Sometimes it looks like:

🌱 Digging in the soil
🌼 Watching things grow
🐾 Sitting in the garden with your dogs

Health isn’t only about labs, medications, or supplements.
