a year of spice ✨
a year ago, I took the biggest leap of faith and started Haus of Spice. What many people don’t know is, this originally was going to be an apothecary where I sold my herbal teas and herbal products. The plan was to use my savings for inventory and use my salary to decorate the space. Boy did the universe have other plans!
2 weeks after signing the lease, I got laid off from my tech job - forcing me to brainstorm how I was going to make this work. I decided to use my savings to decorate the space, & thought to myself, “ok I just got certified to be a kundalini teacher, i’m good at building communities.. let’s just do that?” so I did.
I put Haus of Spice on class pass forgetting to disable the calendar until we were ready - we immediately had a yoga student book us. Thank God for my mom, step mom, dad and step dad for investing in yoga mats, tables, rugs, all the things needed to host our first gig.
Fast forward to a year later, we’ve hosted more than 30 kundalini yogis , hosted over 15+ events, met sooo many people in the community after only living here for a year.
So I say all of this to say, if you are thinking about taking a leap of faith - TRUST YOURSELF, DO IT UNPREPARED, DO IT SCARED because once you take that chance on yourself , it’s pure surrender into the unknown and the universe will catch you!
