She obtained her Master of Science Degree in Nursing from the University of Texas Health Science Center-Houston, where she graduated with honors. She is a member of the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners, North Harris Montgomery Advanced Practice Nurse Society, and Sigma Theta Tau Nursing Honor Society. Michelle’s passion is health and wellness and she tries to live what she teaches. As an avid fitness enthusiast, she enjoys weight training, boxing classes and cycle classes with her husband, and any type of activity with her three children. She encourages patients to be pro-active with their health and focuses on health promotion and disease prevention through diet and exercise, making healthy, balanced lifestyle choices, and through the use of bioidentical hormones. Michelle believes in treating the whole patient and will always “dig a little deeper” to help patients get to the root cause of their symptoms. She also encourages the use of dietary supplements to help restore balance and support the body’s natural ability to heal itself. Michelle is continually expanding her knowledge in the area of age management and preventative medicine by attending specialty conferences, symposiums, and training seminars. She is currently pursuing her Functional Medicine Certification through the Institute of Functional Medicine.
