With severe winter weather (heavy snow and ice) looking probable for much of our service area this weekend, we wanted to take the time to remind you of a few simple but important ways to keep your home safe.

- Keep furnace and dyer vents clear of snow and ice.
- Watch out for ice on or near meters. Be careful when removing snow and ice. Use plastic shovels near gas meters and piping—avoid striking meters with metal tools.
- Never use gas appliances (other than furnace/space heater) to heat your home.
- Do not use gas generators indoors. Make sure your gas generator is outdoors and at least 20 feet from your home.
- Call if any of your gas appliances will not stay on.

As always, we will have teams on call 24/7 should an emergency arise. Please stay safe, stay warm, stay aware.
