When we started Good Shepherd Senior Care (2011) and Good Shepherd Transportation (2016), it was out of a desire to help the aging population in NWA. Helping others is in our DNA, as we come from families with a long history of caregiving and looking out for our elderly neighbors and loved ones. Having led mission teams for over 20 years, we have incorporated much of what we learned in caring for others into Good Shepherd’s core values. We will take the time to listen to your needs, answer your questions and do what we can to help you navigate the difficult maze of aging. And if we can’t help, we will do our best to connect you with the resources and people who can!

Huge shoutout to our incredible 2025 Caregiver of the Year, Toni Gonzalez! 🎉 💚

Toni joined the Good Shepherd Team in September of 2023 and has consistently gone above and beyond, bringing so much compassion, dedication, and a bright smile to everyone she supports.

Toni works a hybrid position taking care of clients AND mentoring new caregivers. Her passion is coaching, developing positive, supportive relationships with the new caregivers, and coaching + educating caregivers that are going into new client homes.

“Winter Weather War Room” ❄️🧊 Our Homecare & Transport Team are working together this week to prepare for the possibility of inclement weather. We go over the clients who absolutely need a caregiver during the weather, communicate with their families on the game plan, place caregivers that can stay for multiple days with them in case they get iced or snowed in, and work with the transport team to schedule rides for caregivers that need to make it to shifts. It’s truly a group effort to get ready for weather like this and ensure we provide the care needed for our clients. 💚💙

UPDATE: YOUR RESPONSE HAS BEEN SO GENEROUS! THANK YOU! We’re fortunate to have enough vases at this time. Thank you for your continued support and for always thinking of our patients and families.

VASES NEEDED: Sometimes it’s the simplest things that mean the most.

Each week, Whole Foods in Fayetteville donates fresh flowers for our hospice patients. Those flowers often sit by a bedside, are held in quiet moments, or bring a small sense of peace during a really hard time.

Right now, we’re short on vases. If you have one or two tucked away in a cabinet that you no longer need, they could make a real difference for someone.

Vases can be dropped off at our Bentonville or Springdale locations.

Thank you for helping us care for people in such a simple and meaningful way.
