John Christopher Holmberg
March 18, 1958 - December 12, 2025

John Holmberg, a beloved husband, father, and grandfather, passed away peacefully on 12 December 2025 at the age of 67. He was deeply loved and cared for by many. His life was defined not only by the years he lived, but by the lives he touched, the values he upheld, and the legacy he leaves behind.

Born on 18 March 1958 in Rockford, Illinois, John showed early and enduring compassion for others. Throughout his life, he pursued excellence with humility and determination. He proudly served in the Air Force, demonstrating a deep dedication to his country and service that shaped his character and guided him throughout his life. Whether through his work as an entrepreneur, his service to the community and church, or his unwavering dedication to his family, John gave his best to everything he did.

John believed strongly in faith and kindness, and he lived those values daily—not for recognition, but because it was simply the right thing to do. He also found great joy and peace at the beach, where he loved spending time with family, listening to the waves, and appreciating the simple beauty of the ocean.

John is survived by his loving wife, Tereza; his children, Mandy, John (Samantha), Joe, Teresa, and Ana (Paulo); his precious grandchildren, Mena, Benton, Emmitt, Hannah, Sarah, Baily, Emily, and Bella; his siblings, Donald, Charles, Thomas, Dorianne, and Jennifer; as well as several nieces and nephews, all of whom will forever cherish the memories they shared. Though deeply missed, his influence endures in the lessons he taught, the love he gave, and the example he set.

A celebration of John’s life will be held next summer at Destin Beach, a place he dearly loved. John lived a life of purpose, integrity, and love. His legacy will continue to inspire all who had the privilege of knowing him. Online condolences

Paul Clyde Rago
January 23, 1959 - November 25, 202

Paul Clyde Rago, age 66, of Fayetteville, Arkansas, passed peacefully from this life on Tuesday, November 25th, 2025. He was born on January 23rd, 1959, in Greenville, Mississippi, to Lee Anna and Lt. Col. Dr. John Rago, who preceded him in death.

Paul lived a life rooted in love, loyalty, and devotion. He is survived by his beloved sweetheart of 26 years, Karen Butler, with whom he shared a beautiful, blended family. He leaves behind his daughter Stephanie Morgan and her husband Jeremy of Broken Arrow, OK, and his son Eric Rago and wife Mai, also of Broken Arrow, OK. Paul was a proud and loving grandfather to Cameron Morgan, Carter Rago, and Madeline Rago.

He is further survived by his brothers John Rago of Baraboo, WI; Mark Rago of Dallas, TX; and James Rago of Panama City Beach, FL. Paul also cherished Karen’s sons, Eric Barnard and Josh Barnard.

One of Paul’s greatest blessings was the group of seven additional kiddos who lovingly called him “Papa”: Lauren, Ryan, Stella, Marlo, Ella, Zooey, and the first to give him that cherished name, Lawston. Paul often referred to Lawston as “my boy,” a reflection of the deep bond they shared as Paul and Karen helped raise him. Paul’s love for these children was abundant and genuine.

Paul found his peace outdoors and, in the things, he loved most fishing the White River, cheering on the Arkansas Razorbacks, watching hockey, and diving into anything historical, especially stories from the WWII era. These passions blossomed even more after his retirement from Cox Communications in 2024.

Above all, Paul will be remembered for his steady kindness, quick wit, and the warmth he carried into every room. He was deeply loved by his family and many friends, and his absence will be felt profoundly by all who were blessed to know him.
