Providing compassionate, professional cancer support and education in Northwest Arkansas. All of our programs are provided at no cost.
All of our services are provided thanks to generous donations, grants and corporate sponsors. Every dollar donated to Hope Cancer Resources stays in Northwest Arkansas and benefits our community and cancer patients in our area. Our programs are focused on 2 primary areas: patient assistance and community education. Patient assistance is provided in the form of counseling, emergency financial assis
tance, transportation and Spanish translation, and navigation to cancer patients and their families. The education we provide is communicated by Certified Health Education Specialists who work in the community to share awareness, risk factors, prevention, and other forms of education about cancer to groups and individuals in Northwest Arkansas.

We had the joy of celebrating our incredible clinic and office volunteers with a special brunch in their honor 💛
We are beyond grateful for the time, heart, and dedication they pour into supporting Hope Cancer Resources and the patients we serve every day. In 2025 alone, our volunteers gave nearly 2,000 hours of service and packed over 630 comfort bags that were distributed to cancer patients at Highlands clinics. And already in 2026, they’ve contributed more than 560 hours!
From sitting alongside patients during treatment, to stocking snacks and drinks, to helping in our office and keeping comfort bags ready, our volunteers truly are the heart of our mission. They live out our values of Compassion, Integrity, Professionalism, Relationships, and Stewardship in everything they do.
A special thank you to Lekan Ajayi, PharmD, Chief Operating Officer, and Shemika Wilson, Director of Building Operations at Highlands Oncology, for joining us at the brunch and helping celebrate the volunteers who support the patients we serve together.
To each and every one of our volunteers: thank you. We could not do this work without you.
Come out, bring your friends and family, and help us make a real impact for those affected by cancer in our community.

Today we’re celebrating Administrative Professionals Day by recognizing three incredible team members who help keep Hope Cancer Resources running strong every single day 💙
✨ Shana Cooper, Director of Administration
✨ Rhenda Bruns, HR Generalist
✨ Shannon Rankin, Volunteer Coordinator
Shana and Rhenda work tirelessly behind the scenes to keep everything organized, efficient, and moving forward. Their dedication ensures our team can focus on what matters most—serving our patients and their caregivers.
And Shannon is often the very first face you see when you walk through our doors, creating a warm, welcoming environment for everyone who comes to Hope. She plays a vital role in connecting our volunteers and community to our mission.
We are so grateful for all three of these amazing women and the impact they make each day. Please join us in thanking them for all they do! 💙

This Volunteer Appreciation Week, we’re celebrating the incredible hearts behind Hope 💙
One of our volunteers shares:
“I love having the opportunity to be a comforting, kind presence for those walking through a difficult journey… you never truly know how much a listening ear, helpful hand, or a simple smile can affect someone’s day.”
When asked to describe Hope in one word: Generous
Our volunteers see firsthand that a cancer diagnosis brings more than medical challenges—it often comes with logistical hurdles and added stress. Because of them, patients have support navigating it all.
To every Hope volunteer: thank you for showing up, giving back, and making a difference in the lives of those we serve. 💙

Our mission is to provide compassionate, professional cancer support and education in the Northwest Arkansas region today and tomorrow. Our vision is to provide hope and enhance quality of life by expanding prevention, wellness and comprehensive cancer support services in our region.
Dealing with a cancer diagnosis can be overwhelming, and we want to do everything we can to help patients and caregivers throughout the journey. We provide patient support, navigation, survivorship and wellness programs, and cancer prevention education at no cost for families and communities in our four-county region of Benton, Carroll, Madison and Washington.
We offer a continuum of emotional support including crisis intervention, individualized supportive counseling and support groups. Our team of licensed social workers provides emotional support to patients, family members and/or caregivers.
We provide transportation to and from cancer-related medical appointments to help ensure access to care when no other assistance is available.
We help alleviate some of the financial burdens patients may face due to their cancer diagnosis and treatment. Our financial assistance includes cancer-related medical prescription medication, cancer-related dental care and other emergency needs including rent/mortgage, car payments, gasoline (gas cards), travel for out-of-town treatment (hotel, airfare), utilities, and homeowners and automobile insurance.
Our Spanish interpreter is available to assist patients during their cancer-related appointments to help ensure clear communication with their medical team.
A Certified To***co Treatment Specialist is available to meet one-on-one with patients and caregivers to talk about strategies and resources to help in quitting the use of to***co products.
In 2017, we launched our Wellness Center for Hope to promote wellness, healthy living and overall quality of life for cancer survivors and caregivers by offering access to knowledge and a variety of health-oriented activities that will aid in a healthier cancer journey. Our wellness team provides individualized plans to help with emotional and physical well-being.
Educational programs are a key component of our services to promote the overall health and quality of life of Northwest Arkansas residents. Our staff, including a Certified Health Education Specialist provides free cancer prevention education to schools, churches, business and civic organizations in our region.
Our programs are funded through grants as well as individual and corporate donations. Every dollar donated to Hope Cancer Resources stays in Northwest Arkansas and benefits our community and families living with cancer in our area.
