This weekend some of our therapists completed training for our Universal Exercise Unit, also known as a Spider Cage. We were lucky to have special guests assist with the training--and it looks like they had fun, too!

The Spider Cage uses a special harness with pulleys, weights, and bungee cords to suspend the user and provide resistance, or assistance, during exercises to build muscle strength, coordination, and motor skills. This allows the therapist to better assist with facilitating movements and exercises without supporting the child's body weight.

We had so much fun during the week of Halloween! Our clinics were filled with characters from favorite games, books, and tv shows! Who knew we had so many celebrities on staff?!

Our OT department even made a giant puzzle featuring one of our favorite characters: Kids SPOT Owner Mr. Stephen in a spooky haunted house! 😆

We had a great time at the ActNow! Action Seating & Mobility Conference last week. Our PTs were able to learn about the newest assistive technology, mobility tools, and so much more! We love taking the time to learn about how to better serve our families!

Our team ran into former Kids SPOT COTA, Miss Hannah! Miss Hannah now assists others in finding the right mobility tools, like walkers and wheelchairs, to meet their needs.
