🧡March is Developmental Disability Awareness Month

A child with a developmental disability might look like a child in a wheelchair, a child with assistive communication or listening devices, and a child with orthotics but it could also be harder to see in some children. It could look like a child who feels really big emotions, a child who needs extra time, a child who learns differently, a child who requires extra sensory stimulation to cope, or a child who needs more patience and assistance in loud, busy environments.

This month, we are celebrating these children and acknowledging their strength, resilience, and uniqueness 🧡

Serves as a warming shelter and provides emergency overnight space.

Fayetteville Overnight Shelter
Evening shelter check-in begins at 5:00 PM
Location: Potter’s House, 612 S. College Ave

7 Hills Homeless Center Day shelter
Location: 1832 S School Ave, Fayetteville
Opens at 6:00 AM

Springdale
Overnight cold weather shelter
Hours: 6:00 PM – 7:00 AM
Location: 1700 W. Huntsville Ave
NOTE - Open Thursday, Friday, and Saturdays only

The Ark of NWA

Overnight warming shelter
Pick up at Springdale park at 4PM

Bentonville
The Salvation Army Emergency Shelter

Opens as a warming center and provides overnight shelter during cold weather.
