We are having an after school kids program from Harber High coming over every other week to do all kinds of fun activities for and with the residents. Some are getting nails done and then a group of singers and ukulele players were also entertaining on the side. This group of kids is very talented with instruments and vocally as well. I can't wait to see what else we can do together in the future.

Kickball yesterday was a lot of fun. We had some new faces which is what we want to see. Kickball keeps them active and keeps their bodies going so they are able to do day to day activities that are needed to care for themselves. We want our group to grow always. We are always doing a physical activity such as this once a week. We try and change it so the consistency doesn't make it boring but we do kickball, badminton and many other physical games throughout the week. Like stated previously we are just here to have fun so the pressure is never on to know what you are doing, we just want you to have fun! Hope to see you next week.

Wanted to put out a reminder of our new March Pay it Forward event. We are working closely with the NWA shelter to get families the things they need to get through until they are placed into their own housing after getting a job and getting their families back on their feet. The NWA shelter helps 16 families at a time. Any help is much appreciated. Last month we took donations of clothes and toiletries. This month we want to get donations of paper products only. The donation totes will be in the lobby on the left and right as you walk into the dining room. If you need help locating anything do not hesitate to ask staff. There will be a flyer available on tables above donation boxes and I will post flyer of needed supplies below. Thank you!

We absolutely love the challenge of puzzles in this community. We have several ladies that absolutely love putting them together and starting a new one right away. Our management team loves to be a part of the process anytime we get a chance in between normal duties. It gives them joy that we stop and take time out of the day to enjoy something they love to do and that we want and enjoy socializing with them. Can't wait to see what they come up with next.

We got the awesome chance to work with the NWA shelter in the month of February and cannot wait to see what we can do for them in the future. We got to meet the director over the shelter and thrift store. We worked together to get a lot of supplies that were needed for the shetlter and we are going to work together again for other things that are needed and we are SO excited! The thrift store is free for any families staying in the shelter that need anything which is AMAZING. They are hoping to expand and be able to help more families at a time. The program helps them get jobs and get back on their feet and back into a place of their own. Can't wait to give back to the community anyway that we can!

We have had SO much fun with paddle and plate in the month of February. I cannot wait to see what we conjure up in the upcoming months. Thank you to our dietary team for coming together with the activity director to create something emersive for the residents to be a part of twice a month. We would like to thank Dr. Lazarte and his team for coming out and doing a meet and greet with the residents and families. Dr. Lazarte is the rounding Dr. for our facility. You do not have to use them it is still resident choice on what provider they use but sometimes it's easier to be seen in facility due to trandportation and mobility.
