Shoulder pain isn’t just “part of training.”

We see this all the time with our active adults:
Pain during pull-ups
Pain during overhead presses
Pain during push-ups

Most of the time, it comes down to mobility limitations, movement coordination or strength issues, or training-load errors.

Fix the root problem, and your shoulders will thank you.

If you’ve ever been to PT with us, you know we take your recovery seriously…

but we also know movement (and rehab) doesn’t always go perfectly.

Sometimes you skip the cool-down. Or always lol.
Sometimes you “forget” your home exercises.
Sometimes you swear you did them… but your PT has questions. 👀

And honestly? That’s okay. It’s part of the process. It’s part of being human.

Healing, getting stronger, and learning how to move better isn’t about being perfect; it’s about showing up, putting in the work, and laughing a little along the way.

The worst thing many people do after an injury?

They stop moving completely.

Movement helps:
• circulation
• tissue healing
• strength retention
• mental health
• nervous system regulation

The key is modifying movement, not avoiding it.

Hi, I’m Danielle, the physical therapist behind Powered by Movement. 👋🏼

I started PXM because I saw too many active people being told the same frustrating things when they got injured:
“Just rest.”
“Stop doing that activity.”
“Maybe your body just can’t handle it anymore.”

And honestly… most of the time that isn’t the real answer. 👎🏼

Pain doesn’t always mean you have to stop doing what you love. Often it just means your body needs the right plan to move better, get stronger, and build resilience again.

At Powered by Movement, my goal is simple: help people stay active for the long run.

That means helping you:
✅understand the root cause of pain
✅rebuild strength and movement
✅return to the activities that matter to you
✅keep your body healthy long term

Whether that’s lifting, running, CrossFit, chasing kids around, or competing in your sport, movement is a huge part of quality of life.
