❌ The committee has made the difficult decision to cancel this year’s Senior Fling.

While we were truly looking forward to this event, we didn’t see the level of participation needed to make it the experience we had planned.

We’re incredibly proud of our social worker, Christie Chevalier-Goleman for her unwavering dedication and compassion. Christie has spent 15 years serving patients at Advanced Healthcare, consistently going above and beyond to make a difference in their lives. She deserves the Heart of Gold award she received at the Good as Gold Springfield Volunteer Awards.

Her impact reaches far beyond her daily work—through her involvement with King’s Daughters Organization, Sangamon County TRIAD, and Senior Services of Central Illinois, she continues to uplift and support seniors throughout our community.

Christie’s commitment, kindness, and tireless advocacy truly embody what it means to serve others. We are grateful for all she does!

🚨 New scam: Email invitation to an event using Punch Bowl. Punch Bowl is a popular digital invitation and greeting card sent via email or text.

We just learned of this new scam while presenting to a senior luncheon on Monday. The TRIAD staff was not aware of this scam until someone mentioned it during an open conversation with the community. This is why it is important to share information. We learn so much from you.

One of our members received a Punch Bowl invite to their email today. As you can see in the picture below, they want you to click the button to open for more information. This is a phishing scam to steal email credentials and spread malware. Our board member did not recognize the name of the person who sent it and had just learned about the scam on Monday.

Seven years ago he was just a tiny puppy with big paws and endless energy 🐾

Now look at him… still full of personality, still our best friend, just a little bigger and a lot more memories later. Time sure does fly 💙💙💙

Nash, our therapy pup-in-training

“The best therapist has fur and four legs”

Our newest staff member is just ten weeks old and is ready to start spending time with seniors as he works through his year long training to become a certified therapy dog. Our hope it that he can help isolated seniors and raise spirits of all he meets. Be on the look out for Nash and his dog momma, Christie!
