✨ When do babies actually start sleeping through the night? 🌙👶

Every stage looks different, mama! Here’s the real tea 👇

💗 0–3 months – Short naps, frequent night feeds (totally normal!)
💙 3–4 months – Longer stretches, but hello sleep regression 😅
💛 4–6 months – 6–8 hour sleeps, still may need 1–2 feeds
💗 6–9 months – Longer nights, teething may disrupt sleep
💙 9–12 months – Many babies finally sleep 10–12 hours 🎉

✨ Most babies start sleeping through the night between 6–12 months
But remember… every baby is different 🤍

If your baby isn’t there yet — you’re not doing anything wrong 💕
Progress isn’t linear, and sleepless nights won’t last forever 🌙

💵 Insurance, Cost & Logistics — What to Expect?

We know financial questions are an important part of choosing care. Here are answers to some of the most common questions we receive:

• Does insurance cover birth center care?
Many insurance plans do offer coverage for birth center care, though benefits vary by plan. Coverage may include prenatal care, the birth, and postpartum visits.

• What insurance plans do you accept?
We work with a variety of insurance plans. Our office team can help verify your specific benefits and explain what is covered under your plan.

• What is the out-of-pocket cost?
Out-of-pocket costs depend on your insurance coverage. We provide a personalized cost estimate early in care so you know what to expect.

• Are payment plans available?
Yes. We offer payment plans to help spread costs over time, with balances typically paid off by 36 weeks of pregnancy or prior to delivery.

• What happens if I transfer to the hospital—how is billing handled?
If a hospital transfer becomes necessary, hospital and provider fees are billed separately by those entities. We are happy to review how this works and answer questions ahead of time.

• Is prenatal care included in the birth fee?
Yes, prenatal care is included as part of the global birth center fee.

📩 Have more questions?
We encourage you to reach out through the patient portal or contact our office. Our team is here to provide clarity, transparency, and support every step of the way.

💛 No surprises. No confusion. Just clear communication and compassionate care.

✨ Fresh Test vs. Glucola: What’s the Difference? ✨

If you’re preparing for your gestational diabetes screening, you may hear about two different glucose drinks: Glucola and The Fresh Test. Here’s a quick breakdown 👇

📅 When is the test done?
Most pregnant people complete the gestational diabetes screening between 24–28 weeks of pregnancy.

🧪 What they have in common
Both drinks provide a measured amount of glucose so your provider can see how your body processes sugar during pregnancy. They serve the same medical purpose.

🥤 Glucola
• Traditional glucose drink used for decades
• Contains glucose plus artificial flavors, colors, and preservatives
• Many people find it very sweet and sometimes hard to tolerate

🍋 The Fresh Test
• Uses the same amount of glucose
• Made with non-GMO dextrose and simple natural flavoring
• No artificial dyes or preservatives
• Often reported as easier to drink and gentler on the stomach

🏥 At our clinic
We are happy to offer both Glucola and The Fresh Test, so you can choose the option that feels best for you.

📊 Important to know
Glucola is the long-standing medical standard, while Fresh Test is a newer option that delivers the same glucose dose with simpler ingredients. Availability and insurance coverage may vary.

💬 Bottom line
Both options are valid for screening — the biggest differences are ingredients and taste. If you have questions, talk with your care provider about which option is right for you.

Why more women are choosing midwives for OB-GYN care 👩🏽‍⚕️

Midwives don’t just “deliver babies.” They provide full-scope obstetric and gynecologic care with a very different approach than traditional doctor-led models.

✔️ Longer visits. Real conversations.
Midwives typically spend more time with patients, addressing cycle concerns, pelvic pain, birth plans, contraception, menopause, and mental health—not rushing through a 10-minute appointment.

✔️ Fewer unnecessary interventions in pregnancy and birth.
Midwife-led care is associated with lower rates of inductions, continuous monitoring, episiotomies, and C-sections for low-risk pregnancies—while maintaining excellent safety outcomes.

✔️ Evidence-based, not protocol-driven.
Midwives are trained to recognize what’s normal, what needs monitoring, and when medical intervention is truly necessary—rather than treating pregnancy as an automatic medical emergency.

✔️ You’re a decision-maker, not a passive patient.
Midwifery care emphasizes informed consent. Tests, exams, and procedures are discussed, not assumed.

✔️ Collaborative care when complications arise.
Midwives work alongside OB-GYNs and specialists when higher-level medical or surgical care is needed—without losing continuity or support.

✔️ Gynecologic care that actually addresses root causes.
From painful periods to postpartum changes and menopause, midwives focus on prevention, education, and long-term health—not just prescriptions.

Midwifery care isn’t “less than” physician care—it’s different.
For many women, it’s more respectful, more personal, and more aligned with how they want to experience their health care.
