Our residents and staff celebrated with delicious homemade apple dumplings and vanilla ice cream made by our very own residents. It was a day filled with love, laughter, and full bellies!

A heartfelt thank you to all of our amazing staff who worked this Thanksgiving to make sure our residents felt special and had a truly memorable day. We appreciate you more than words can say. 🤍

🇺🇸 Happy Veterans Day! 🇺🇸

Today, we are filled with gratitude as we honor all the brave veterans who have served our country — especially our very own resident veterans here at James River. ❤️

We celebrated with delicious St. George’s donuts, hot coffee, and wonderful stories shared among friends. It was truly remarkable to hear each veteran’s unique experiences from their time in service.

Our other residents also joined in the celebration by creating beautiful, handmade Veterans Day cards to share — a heartfelt gesture that made the day even more special.

A very special thank-you goes out to our friend TJ with Compassus Hospice. She truly made our veterans feel honored today by presenting each of them with a Certificate of Service and a beautiful commemorative coin. Thank you, TJ, for helping make this day so meaningful for all of us! ❤️

It was a day filled with honor, laughter, and gratitude. Thank you to all who have served — we appreciate you today and every day. 🇺🇸✨

Today we were absolutely blessed to have Sam Waltermire stop by our facility and share his wonderful music with our residents. Not only is Sam an amazing musician, but he is also incredibly kind, and his light truly shines through in all he does.

Our residents absolutely loved his performance — it was a joyful hour filled with reminiscing over old favorites, classic hymns, and timeless tunes. Thank you, Sam, for bringing so much warmth, joy, and beautiful music to our home. You were absolutely amazing!
