EMDR therapy is an evidence-based approach used by trained clinicians to help individuals process difficult or distressing experiences in a structured and supportive setting.

At Joyful Living Behavioral Health, EMDR is one of several therapy approaches that may be used as part of trauma-informed care. During EMDR therapy, a clinician guides clients through specific techniques designed to support the brain’s natural ability to process experiences and reduce emotional distress.

EMDR may be used as part of individual therapy depending on a client’s goals, needs, and clinician fit. Services are available in person at our Eugene office and through telehealth across Oregon.
