We understand that recent changes around Medicaid have caused some concern, and we want to reassure you that Our Community Birth Center is going to continue to provide the same high-quality care and services you trust. Your health and well-being remain our top priority.

We are committed to supporting all of our clients, regardless of their financial situation. For those navigating a change in insurance coverage, we also offer an income-based sliding scale option. If you have any questions, or if you're worried about coverage or payments, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us. We’re here for you!

Happy Earth Day! Thought we'd share a fun fact. So far, 40 Birth Center designated bags of beverage containers have been collected by BottleDrop as part of their Earth Week Give!

That's a LOT of containers you are helping to keep out of the landfills.

Every beverage container you recycle helps Our Community Birth Center fulfill its mission to serve parents and babies in our community.

For National Volunteer Week, we'd like to thank all the hardworking, generous volunteers who give their time to support Our Community Birth Center. Last year, volunteers donated 394 hours of their time to help us with fundraising events, board service, community engagement, making reusable wash cloths, folding laundry, keeping our Parent Baby Exchange area tidy, and so much more. We have the best community!

Do you or your business have something you would like to donate to our online silent auction in May? Our auction raises around $10,000 for birth center services with the support of in-kind donations from generous individuals and businesses who donate goods and services, including gift cards, tickets to performances, museum passes, vacation stays, artwork, jewelry, and more.

As a nonprofit birth center, fundraising is an essential component to us being able to provide equitable access to birth center care. Fundraising enables us to: provide sliding scale and sometimes free services; never send a client to collections for nonpayment; stay committed to never capping the amount of clients we see with Medicaid Insurance.

🧐 What: Fundraiser for Our Community Birth Center. 50% of your purchase total gets donated back to the birth center.

We are so thrilled to announce Every Kid Pediatric Dentistry as our Gold Sponsor for Hearts & Hope: A Fundraiser for Our Community Birth Center!

Every Kid Pediatric Dentistry provides care for 1 year olds through adolescents, including routine check ups and emergency services. They are also trained and qualified to provide dental care for children with special needs.

We are grateful to have them in our community!

Our friends at WellMama have a wonderful new drop-in program starting next week for families looking for feeding support and social connection. Registration is not required and is self-selected sliding scale fee from $0 to $20.

Midwifery care encompasses a wide range of services beyond just pregnancy, labor, and birth. At Our Community Birth Center, we provide birth control management, STI testing, gynecologic care, gender-affirming hormone therapy, referrals, and more!
